I relate the diary of a wimpy kid series to the Big Nate series because both of the series are written in a similar way. Like a diary, the "writer" has problems and have to fix the problems.

Jeff Kinney was born in 1972 in Maryland. Mr. Kinney went to the University of Maryland in the beginning of the 1990s. That's when his whole curer began to shape up. Mr. Kinney wrote a comic strip called "Igdoof" for the university's newspaper and he knew by then that he wanted to be a cartoonist.

Mr. Kinney has written every book in the Wimpy Kid series.

Jeff Kinney is married to a woman named Julie Kinney. Mr. and Mrs. Kinney have two sons Their names are Will and Grant Kinney.

After graduating from college Mr. K worked on his book for 6 years, than published it on Funbrain.com The site has 80 million visits and has on average 70 000 visits a day. In 2006 Jeff had a deal with publisher Henry N. Abrams to turn the electronic version into a real book. Diary of a wimpy kid was released April 2007 and became a New York Times bestseller. Then came all the rest of the series each one year apart.
